SwiftShader can therefore be directly
integrated into applications without
any changes to source code.
So the steps involved are:
1. Download Swiftshader Software
from the link provided.
2. Since it is a rar file so extract it
after downloading.
3. Copy d3d9.dll file from the
downloaded folder x86/x64.
4. Paste it in your games installation
directory.
5. For example: I wanted to run the
Game called Call of Duty Black Ops
then Go to C:\Program Files
\Activision\Call of Duty Black Ops.
5. Just Paste it in your game
installation directory and run the
game.

Hi, I just wanted to say how swift shader works,Swift shader is an application which forces internal graphics to render games which usually doesn't work without a dedicated GPU (graphics card). Although it may prevent errors such as "unable to initialize direct3d" etc,performance will be a tragedy.So please don't get your hopes up because it may run the games which didn't work on your pc before, but the original HD resolution can never be achieved (1080p) . I mean there is a reason why the game won't work without a graphics card,internal graphics are not nearly powerful enough.I used to have this neat piece of software on my old pc and it ran the comparatively new games but i got poor fps like 10 or 12 max.But you should definitely try this software and check whether is works.
Word of advice: If you have a graphics card never try this software to increase the performance,the game will not use your graphics card and the game will lag more than before.
GameGain is one of the softwares which claim to increase the frame rate of your game.But what it actually does is that it frees more ram before starting the game.So basically it works as a ram optimizer ,they move stuff from your super fast ram to the much slower swap space in the hard drive to make space for the game to run smoothly.99% of the time this has no effect in the framerate of the game because windows automatically does this when the game loads before gameplay starts.
A famous quote: "At best ram optimizers do not work at worst they can make your filesystem a mess"
So do not try these kinds of softwares (ram optimizer) if your ram is more than 2gb as they will not have any effect.
